2025 Natural Gas Drilling Impact Fee Data Released
June 30th, 2026The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission collected $243.9 million in natural gas impact fees for 2025, with $133.8 million going directly to counties and municipalities affected by drilling.
To find your borough's distribution, visit the PUC impact fee website, select "Reports," then "County and Municipality Disbursement," and choose "2025."
The total collected represents a 48% increase over 2024, driven by higher natural gas prices and increased drilling activity. Since 2012, the impact fee program has generated more than $3.1 billion for Pennsylvania communities.
